What is „cakadoo“ about?
cakadoo is a Micro-Job platform where you can easily publish tasks which you don't want to do by yourself - because
you don't have the time, or just don't have the motivation. cakadoo will connect you to people who have time and
motivation to get these tasks done. cakadoo will also show you opportunities based on your interest in your city and
neighborhood, you just pick them and get things done by yourself.
What is a „doo“?
A „doo“ is one single Micro-Job that is posted on our platform.
Each doo is created by a „doo-Creator“ and comes with a description giving some details about the job, like
description, location and reward/salary.
Which doos are shown in the „can.doo“ view?
The can.doo view is the initial view of your doo-board which suggests you interesting doos that you could execute
for others.
The suggestions are based on your interests (the ones you nominated in your profile); your previous doo history and
the proximity to your home location.
Which doos are shown in the “i.doo” view?
This view will show you doos that you are observing, as well as doos that you have applied for. It therefore
includes doos that you can do for others, and that are already considered by you. Use this view to scan your
observations and apply for interesting doos, or check the doos you have applied for.
To add doos to this view, simply observe or apply for some doos in the “can.doo” view.
Which doos are shown in the “u.doo” view?
This view will show you doos that you created which will be executed by other dooers.
In this view you can track the applications for your created doos and see the applicants. Once you found the
adequate candidate, you can confirm the application to get your doo executed.
This view also allows you to edit and change the doo information like Date, Description and Place.
Which doos are shown in the “hisdoory” view?
The “hisdoory” view will give you an overview about former doos that are already executed.
It shows doos that you personally executed; as well as the doos you created which were executed by others. In this
view you are able to review the past and rate other users.
You can make your rating for doos you have executed (means you rate the employer) and you can rate dooers that
executed doos for you (means you rate your workers).
How can I observe doos that might become interesting for me?
Everytime you see an interesting doo in the “can.doo” view, you can observe it to easily find it later on. Simply
click on the spyclass right next to the doo of interest.
Once you observe the doo, it will be moved to the “i.doo” view of your dooboard and will no longer appear in the
“can.doo” view.
Are there any obligations if I observe a doo?
No. The observation of a doo only helps you to organize and prioritize the doos of your interest. Nobody else than
you will see your observations.
How can I apply for a doo?
First find your doo of interest in the dooboard. Use the “can.doo” view to discover interesting doos, or browse your
observations in the “i.doo” view. Once you picked a doo that you wish to execute, simply click on the
hand-shake-button next to the doo.
How can I un-apply for a doo?
If you are no longer able to execute a doo you have applied for, make sure that you soon unapply to let the
doo-creator know about this fact.
Go to the “i.doo” view in your doobard and click the hand-shake-button (marked with a red minus sign states that you
have already applied for the doo). You now have unapplied for the doo and are no longer considered in the applicant
selection.
Note: If your application is are already confirmed; unapply as soon as possible if you are not able to execute the
doo. This helps the doo creator to find another person for the execution.
Note: If your application is already confirmed; and the execution of the doo will start in less than 24 hours, it is
not possible to unapply via the system. Please take the responsibility to directly inform the doo creator (preferred
via telephone; or via our messaging system) that you are not able to execute the doo.
